PROTECTION THROUGH EXPANSION

MEMBRYX THERMAL incorporates an intelligent functional layer based on expandable graphite. Under intense heat or direct flame exposure, the material rapidly expands to create a stable, intumescent insulating barrier.

By limiting heat transfer and restricting the supply of oxygen to the underlying material, this physical protection mechanism helps inhibit flame spread, promotes self-extinguishing behaviour and significantly enhances thermal protection.
